Botanical Illustration
Mondays, September 10 – November 12, 2012
1:30 – 3:30 PM
This is an introductory course for all, no experience needed. Students will have the opportunity to explore drawing plants and become aware of the range of techniques for representation together with some tuition in basic scientific structure of the plant. The latter not only increases the students’ appreciation of the plant, but assists in the rendering of the plant in graphic form.
Students will need to bring their own materials for drawing; all other equipment and materials are provided. The course is taught within an artist’s studio complex and is led by Alison Day, who is both artist/photographer and qualified botanist/environmentalist.
Early registration is required. For more information and to register, contact instructor Alison Day.
