A series of classes about organic gardening will be held at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden. If you draw and paint directly from plants in the garden, this series is for you!

Organic Fruit & Vegetable Gardening 2012
Each class session will focus on seasonal production and will cover a broad range of topics such as companion planting, the identification of plant diseases, the treatment and prevention of plant diseases, biodiversity, weeds, insects, farming, Slow Food, soil building, composting, remedies and recipes. This class will be taught by Jill Morganelli, instructor and the horticultural supervisor at the Arboretum. Cost per session: $25 members, $30 nonmembers. Register in advance or pay at the door.
