At the recent 14th Annual Meeting and Conference of the American Society of Botanical Artists, several businesses participating in the Exhibitors’ Hall presented their products and services to conference attendees.

Addison Publications

Addison presented Volume I of the Highgrove Florilegium, a collection of paintings highlighting the plants at HRH Prince Charles’ Highgrove estate. Only 175 copies of this volume will be published. This publication is available only by subscription and costs $15,000. Addison Publications’ presence at the Exhibitors’ Hall was in conjunction with a special viewing of half of the Highgrove Florilegium at the Huntington Library, Art Collection, and Botanical Gardens. This opening was held exclusively for conference attendees. The Highgrove Florilegium is currently open to the public on a limited basis. Please call the Huntington for details. Artist Mindy Lighthipe presented a slide show about her workshops in Costa Rica, as well as information about her 12th annual trip scheduled for February 2009. Workshop participants will draw and photograph the flora and fauna of the Costa Rica rainforest. A full itinerary can be viewed at Studio 16. Hurry, there are currently only four spots available!
