Tina Scopa, Edaphic Plant Art

Tina is an artist with a particular focus on wild plants/weeds and soil and has coined the term, Edaphic Plant Art. She mostly works in plant printing and has developed a number of techniques where plants ‘draw’ themselves. Tina conducts plant printing workshops suitable for most ages and abilities, although some strength and dexterity are required. In the future, she plans to teach short courses about how people can learn about the world through a contemporary art practice.
Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

Established in 1670, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) is comprised of four gardens that collectively represent one of the largest plant collections in the world. The garden is also home to the RBGE Diploma in Botanical Illustration. The diploma course is a two-year program emphasizing observational drawing and the creation of artwork in pencil, pen and ink, and watercolor.
