The Natural History Artist Residency at the Huyck Preserve in Rensselaerville, NY is accepting applications for 2012.
The residency program provides professional and aspiring natural history artists with an opportunity to work in the field. Artists can produce work in the medium of their choice. In exchange for housing and studio space, artists are asked to contribute an original work for exhibition and publication. Selected artists will work at the remote biological field station for one to two weeks.
Interested artists must submit an artists’ statement, an application, support material, and electronic images on CD. Residency dates at the 2,000 acre Huyck Preserve are June 4-24, 2012 and August 17-31, 2010. Application deadline is March 15, 2012.
