This ongoing series will cover the basic application and techniques of watercolor painting and drawing in graphite. Topics include: wash techniques, dry brush, color palette, mixing greens, mixing neutral tints, creating tonal and color studies. To register, contact Jill Berry at (626) 821-4623 or jill.berry@arboretum.org. Cost: $180 members / $195 nonmembers.

A book comprised of student artwork was published last year. A copy of this book can be viewed in the Visitor’s Information office at the Arboretum. Also available are flyers for upcoming classes. This office is directly adjacent to the parking lot at the bottom of the stairs.

I would love to participate in a botanical illustration class, but these weekday-daytime classes are not available to those who work. any chance of adding weekend classes?

The scheduling of classes is dependent upon many factors. Consumer demand being one of them. If a garden or program near you does not offer weekend classes, please contact them directly to request weekend workshops.
