ArtPlantae Surveys Benefit You

Many thanks to those of you who have completed the Readers’ Survey or the Teachers’ Survey. The feedback from both surveys helps to improve the content of this site.

All readers of ArtPlantae Today are encouraged to complete the Readers’ Survey. Click here to see how you can contribute to our learning tool.

All teachers who create lesson plans or activities about plants are encouraged to complete the Teachers’ Survey. If you are a teacher and work in a traditional classroom setting, at a nature center, at a garden or some other outdoor setting, click here to see how you can contribute to a tool that can save you time.

1254259405_facebookIf you haven’t stopped by the Facebook page, you’re missing out on some good information. You’ll also miss out on engaging conversation too, if you don’t swing by every once in a while or, better yet, become a Fan. There aren’t any chatty teenagers reading our page. Instead, there are very nice adults who would enjoy conversation with fellow botanical artists and nature journaling enthusiasts. To fill you in on what has been going on, here are some recent highlights:

  • Information about a course dedicated to time management for artists.
  • An article and slideshow about two botanical art exhibits in Arizona.
  • An exhibition by the New England Chapter of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.
  • Information about 18th-century artist and embroiderer, Mary Delany.

Hope you’ll join us.

I am still reorganizing and cleaning up. As sections are worked on, they may go offline for a bit. The need to clear out inventory has never been greater. Watch for discounts on Twitter and on the store’s homepage as this process continues. Thanks again for your patience.

Summer Housecleaning at ArtPlantae

This site and the store are being cleaned up and reorganized in all sections, so I will be publishing fewer posts until my task is complete. Drop-in on the Twitter feed because that will be updated more often until my yellow cleaning gloves come off. I wish I could clean in the dark of night while the world slept, but I’m not put together this way.

Please continue to forward information about your events and classes. Help keep the conversation going on Twitter. Join the conversation any time!

Thank you for your patience.

Effective immediately, weekly news delivery at ArtPlantae Today will be managed through our RSS feed. To continue receiving weekly news updates, please confirm your interest by entering your email address. When you sign-up to receive our feed via email, you receive a summary of news items that were posted at ArtPlantaeToday.com during the previous 24 hours. This summary is delivered in the morning. Under this new format you can expect to receive an update on Monday morning, like you have been. Time-sensitive items will be posted as necessary, of course. We have no intention of sending you email everyday and respect your needs for a clutter-free inbox.

ArtPlantae will still send periodic e-news announcements to you, however they will be just that — periodic. We will reserve the email blasts for other occasions.
