A complete program offering classes in pencil drawing, colored pencil, watercolor, sketching, botany, art history, scratch board, and classes dedicated to specific techniques and plant groups. See a complete course listing here. This program now works collaboratively with El Charco del Ingenio, a nature reserve and botanical garden in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. - Artist’s Visual Journal: Gateway Canyons – July 23-24, 2010 from 9 a.m – 5 p.m. and July 25, 2010 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Weekend workshop at Gateway Canyons Resort in Gateway, CO. An introduction to botanical illustration and field sketching in nearby canyon and mountain areas. Cost: $280 member, $315 non-member
- Autumn Leaves in Watercolor – October 7 – November 4, 2010; 1 – 4 p.m. Cost: $189 member, $240 member
- Beyond Ordinary – September 7 – October 12, 2010; 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Add botanical accents to your paintings with elements such as dead plant parts and other less inspiring morphological features of plants. Cost: $189 member/$240 non-member
- Botany Spotlight: Conifer Cones – October 12, 2010; 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Study the structure of cones and learn how to draw those spiraling details. Cost: $70 member, $85 non-member
