The popular Classes Near You section has been updated. Instructors are sending in their Fall/Winter schedules. Some are working on their schedules for 2010. All new information will be posted as it becomes available.
Today there are wonderful new learning opportunities to share with you. Many thanks to instructors Val Webb, Nina Antze, Catherine Watters, Maria Hodkins, Sarah Roche, and Kathleen McKeehan for telling all of us about their upcoming classes. Please be sure to visit each artist’s website, especially Sarah Roche’s new site. Sarah is the Education Director of the botanical art program at Wellesley College. She is also Education Co-chair at the American Society of Botanical Artists and the founding Director of the New England Society of Botanical Artists.
If you daydream about traveling to exotic locations with just a backpack and your sketchbook, dream no more. Australian botanical artist Leonie Norton leads sketchbook tours to fantastic locations. Information about these tours has been posted to the International page, along with new course offerings from our neighbors to the north, the Botanical Artists of Canada.
Updating the Classes Near You section is a continuous work-in-progress. Instructors are encouraged to forward information when they begin to promote their new classes. If you teach classes pertaining to botanical art, nature journaling, or plant identification and would like your classes posted here, please contact us at education@artplantae.com.
Also, if you find a broken link, please report it at education@artplantae.com. Thank you for your help.
Here is the latest. Enjoy!
