The Theodore Payne Foundation will host an exhibition of work completed by Pamela Burgess, their first Artist-in-Residence. Pamela Burgess has created a gallery of images that are familiar and foreign at the same time. Her work will make you think, “I’ve seen this image before,” and then immediately follow this thought with the question, “But where?”
Beautiful and mysterious, Pamela’s drawings cause viewers to be still and to contemplate what they might be missing in nature.
Pamela Burgess has extended a personal invitation to ArtPlantae Today subscribers:
Hello Fellow Artists and Readers –
I would like to personally invite all of you to my show which opens in October at the Theodore Payne Foundation in Sun Valley, California. Although my shadow drawings are not concerned with scientific accuracy – they’re interpretations – they pay homage to the tradition of botanical art and illustration, which I greatly admire and love.
See you at the show!
